The Rev. Dr. David Ney
In addition to his position with the Robert E. Webber Center, David Ney serves as Associate Professor of Church History at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. He was introduced to the Great Tradition through his Masters of Theology supervisor at Regent College, Dr. Hans Boersma, completing his thesis on Gregory of Nyssa’s hermeneutic. Ney went on to complete his doctorate at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, and it is there that he fell headlong into Anglicanism. As a Canterbury Trail evangelical, his great passion is the history of biblical interpretation, and he has published several articles on biblical interpretation in eighteenth-century Anglicanism. He is the co-editor, with Dr. Ephraim Radner of All Thy Lights Combine: Figural Reading in the Anglican Tradition (2022) and the author of The Quest to Save the Old Testament: Mathematics, Hieroglyphics, and Providence in Enlightenment England (2022).
